[Readers Update] And now for that final calf - and news on upcoming books...

All good things must come to an end, even surprise calves. Farm and books go on, though...

Farm News

Yes, that final calf showed up - late is still good.

This last calf is number 18. And he's a cutie.

Bull calf. No sock feet, but a white tip on tail. White stomach area - and RED. We already have one all red and white-faced calf, but this one's tail is the main difference. So this should give you a challenge for your namerators (yes, you can always send me more than one name.) Oh - here's a hint: the white patterns in his ears...

Mother's name is "Old 25" (her last and long-lost ear tag was numbered that way - she's all black like a few others.) His dad was our new Hereford bull, so that's why the white face and the coloring. And his momma kept him hidden from me for a full day before I discovered his hiding place. Cute, no matter what.

So here's your last chance to name a calf for this year - just reply to this email with your inspiration(s)...

Cozy Cottage (Tiny Home) Progress

At last the interior sheathing is done. Now it's time for puttying and painting. Electrical after that, and start the outfitting - as well as "test-living" where I move in with the bare necessities and see what I have to adjust from there.

Oh - of possible interest, we've decided to set up a rolling "library" ladder to access the sleeping loft.

Yes, I probably owe you some pictures...

What's Ahead?

We've now got about 8 fiction stories in the works which have their historical basis along the Missouri river. They'll have steamboats in them, are pre-Civil War, and develop a continuing villain, while the main characters are a sleuthing couple (like Nick and Nora of the Thin Man movie series.) Romance, adventure, mystery, and redemption... all in each story.

First one is near Kimmswick, MO. (Yes, a fascinating city built and named after a developer in the early 1800's. Look it up and see...)

PS. Summer fruit

The daughter of a close friend got a half-bucket of elderberries from yours truly and extracted four pints of juice. She's added some particular herbs and honey to it, so I'm looking forward to a taste test. I picked another bucket this morning (Mother gets these for canning) and I'll be collecting some more later as the last one's ripen. The birds got one whole bush, but others have still escaped their notice...

I like having elderberry syrup on my morning pan-bread/egg sandwich concoction. They say it's very good for you - I like the taste (even though it makes the eggs turn blue...)

Coming soon are the wild plums, followed by paw-paws and persimmons. But those will be in the fall. Which can't come too soon. I'm a bit tired of this over-hot weather we've been having...

Re-releases Still on Hiatus

And still, nothing new this week. Catching up on things around here on the farm (in this heat) plus the romance "research", both set getting the re-releases updated to take a back seat.

Again, there are three Ghost Hunter Canons are all but ready to bring out in new versions. And these were each built from four Ghost Hunter anthologies. The first one will have a special introductory price, and will only be a direct link (for obvious reasons) as this is slated to be advertised to get people into that fiction series. But the regular-priced version will be updated.

And I do have other paperbacks to get issued, like the J. R. Kruze collections. (An editor's job is never done.)

But - a new fiction still continues in the background...

That new fiction story you've heard about earlier is still writing itself (and is becoming a bit insistent about being written in spite of all the other stories I'm actively queuing up.) Every now and then, new scenes showed up or new themes to weave in. My First Readers are helping me with its underlying theme infrequently.

This one has to do with the actual universe you create for yourself, which has little or nothing to do with the "real world" you told runs things. Of course, examining this through the eyes and reactions of fictional characters makes it even more exciting. (Still, these characters can nag. And nag they do - until they are finally brought to life via publishing.)

But you can imagine the fascinating plot twists if the characters can choose their own setting - even the dialog of the other characters... over protests, of course.

Yes, you can start to get all excited over new stuff again. And again, the only thing I can tell you is to stay tuned.

News and New Plans

I'm producing those Nightingale videos in my spare moments, getting one or more done each day - as they are quicker than I thought. Next will be posting these to Rumble and GabTV (and I'll send you links, naturally.)

There are about four years of these to produce, if I only get two posted each week.

Meanwhile, visit store.livingsensical.com and do a search to find out any of the books you may have missed. Plenty of stuff to help you improve your life. And plenty of entertainment, as well.

For me, It's all a matter of stealing time here and there, and becoming more efficient with the time I have.

So, patience becomes the watchword...

Oh - wait, there's more: Recent life-test results continue to confirm all I've been telling (some of) you for years - you can actually have and be anything and everything you want out of life. Really. Whether it's finding a dear companion or a million-dollar salary. And it's all in that "Strangest Secret Collection" (my characters named it the "decoder ring"). You only have to take the leap of faith and put it into use...

(Again, to get your updated copy, just reply to this and ask - I'll send you the most recent edition if you don't have yours or misplaced it.) As well, I do need to get some courses up, so I'll start working these in once I get all the major non-fiction books republished.

Become a First Reader

First readers have now become collaborators. And get the first inklings of a story before anyone else except me. (They also get immediate notification and pictures of new calves.) Our interactions are what result in the Notes editions for each book. It's simple to become one - just raise your hand.

How to Raise Your Hand: Join the no-cost Insider's Club and then send me an email that you have. Tell me what you bring to the table. If you make a good case, I'll include you on my First Reader Emails.

Expect great things over the next year - and continuing...

Thanks again for opening this. And reading these books.

And leaving a rating on the Living Sensical site for the stuff you buy there.

As well as leaving recommendations on Bookbub in addition to reviews anywhere else.

You know, that "paying it forward" kinda thing.

Do keep sharing these books with your friends, too.

I hope your life is not too interesting to be overwhelming, but sufficiently engaging to keep you amused. (Like some of us here...)

Robert

PS. Again, you can always email me about anything.

What you're here for is to enjoy life. If you're not enjoying every single moment, then you're working too hard at living. Relax. Let go. Follow your bliss.
